I’ve described in detail the private life of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W.) and the details of each of his marriages, why he got married and how it benefited the ummah.
1) My beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married an elderly widow, Hazrat Khadija (may Allaah be pleased with her), in the age of 25. Hazrat Khadija was 40 years old and as long as Hazrat Khadija was alive he didn’t remarry.
By the age of 50, he was content with one wife. (If a person is dominated by the desires of the soul, then he is not content to spend 25 years of his youth with a widow.) After the death of Hazrat Khadija, he got married for various reasons.
Seventy Companions were martyred in the battle of Uhud. More than half of the families were left homeless, with no support for the widows and orphans.
In order to solve this problem, the Holy Prophet (SAWW) asked his Companions to marry the widows. To encourage the people, the Holy Prophet (SAWW) ...
2) Hazrat Soodah, may Allah be pleased with her
3) Hazrat Umm e Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) and
4) He married Hazrat Zainab bint Khazeema at different times. As you can see, the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married a widow and settled in the houses of helpless women.
5) Among the Arabs, polygamy was the custom. The aim was to bring the tribes closer together through second marriage and to promote Islam.
It was the custom of the Arabs to consider it against their honor to fight against anyone who became their son-in-law.
Abu Sufyan was a staunch opponent of the Holy Prophet before he converted to Islam. But when his daughter Umm e Habiba was married to the Holy Prophet, this enmity subsided. It so happened that Umm Habiba became a Muslim and migrated to Abyssinia with her Muslim husband, where her husband became a Christian.
Hazrat Umm e Habiba (RA) separated from him and reached home with great difficulty. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) entertained her and married her through the king of Abyssinia.
(6) Hazrat Jawariya's father was the chief of Mustaliq tribe. This tribe lived between Makkah and Madinah. The Holy Prophet waged jihad against this tribe, their leader was killed.
Hazrat Jawariya (RA) was imprisoned and came to the side of a Companion (RA). The Companions, in consultation, married the Leader's daughter to the Holy Prophet (SAWW) and with the blessing of this marriage, hundreds of families of this tribe became free and all became Muslims.
7) In the battle of Khyber, Hazrat Safia, the daughter of a Jewish chief, was taken prisoner and joined the company of Companions. The Companions, on the advice of Allah, arranged her marriage with the Holy Prophet (SAWW).
8) In the same way, Islam spread in the area of Najd due to the marriage of Maimuna (RA). The purpose of these marriages was also to bring people closer to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and to observe the morality of the Prophet (PBUH).
9) Marriage to Hazrat Maria (RA) was also a link in the same chain. She was a former Christian and belonged to a royal family. They were sent by the Byzantine king Shah Muqawqas as a gift to his sacred service.
10) What to do to break the ritual of marriage with Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh (RA).
Hazrat Zaid (RA) was called the adopted son of the Holy Prophet (SAW). He was married to Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh (RA). When it was not appropriate, Hazrat Zayd (RA) divorced her, then the Holy Prophet (PBUH) got married and proved that the adoptee does not fall under the real son.
11) The source of Islamic knowledge is the Holy Qur'an and the Holy Prophet's biography.
He married Hazrat Ayesha & Hazrat Hafsa too
In order to preserve every aspect of his holy life, his holy family, companions, especially the Companions of Safa, took an active part.
A group of women was needed for this work.
It was difficult to work with a companion. In order to complete this task, he performed many marriages. He had instructed the wives of the purified ones to take note of everything they see in the darkness of night.
After the death of the Holy Prophet, Hazrat Ayesha lived for 48 years and 2210 hadiths have been narrated from her.
Similarly, the number of narrations of Hazrat Umm e Salma is 368. She died last. She was very intelligent & loyal.
These circumstances showed that the houses of the wives of the purified ones were the religious schools of women because this education was for the Day of Judgment and for the whole world and the media was limited, so how diligently they did it. Gone, it can't be estimated today.
Great Prophet indeed ๐
